Frequently Asked Questions

What is the nylon dust cover used for?
The included nylon cover drapes over the cart to protect linens from airborne dust, contaminants, and moisture during storage and transport — important for maintaining clean linen standards in hospital, hotel, and laundry environments. The cover is flame resistant for compliance with healthcare facility fire safety requirements.

Why does the ZL236 use all-swivel casters instead of 2-rigid/2-swivel?
All-swivel casters allow the linen cart to move in any direction without turning the cart — essential for maneuvering through tight hospital corridors, around corners, and into linen closets where space is limited. The thermorubber casters also provide quiet operation on hard floors.

Why are the shelf lips all down (flush) on a linen cart?
Flush lips on all four sides allow linens, towels, and folded items to be slid on and off the shelves from any direction without catching on a lip — speeding up loading and unloading during high-volume linen distribution rounds.

What are thermorubber casters and how do they differ from urethane?
Thermorubber casters provide a softer, quieter ride than urethane, making them preferred for hospital environments where noise reduction is important. Urethane casters (U50300 option) are harder and more durable for heavier loads or rougher surfaces.
