The two-layer Dualmat construction combines a static dissipative top surface (10⁶–10⁹ ohms) with a conductive bottom layer, providing reliable grounding contact across the full mat surface. The dissipative top layer safely slows the discharge of static charges to prevent damage to sensitive components, while the conductive bottom ensures consistent electrical contact with the grounding snap. This two-layer design is the most common configuration for ANSI/ESD S4.1 compliant workstation mats.

The 2440 roll format allows you to cut the mat to any length needed for your specific bench configuration using a sharp utility knife and a straight edge. Yes. To function as an ESD control surface, the 2440 Dualmat must be connected to a common ground point using a grounding cord with a snap connector (sold separately).
