Teknipure TM-516V-SS TekniMop Stainless Steel Velcro Mop, Frame & Handle, 60 in, Sold Individually

The Teknipure TM-516V-SS is a 316 stainless steel TekniMop frame and handle system with Velcro (hook-and-loop) mop head attachment, designed for cleanroom floor and wall cleaning in ISO Class 4–7 environments. The 316 stainless steel construction provides superior corrosion resistance compared to standard polypropylene hardware — required in environments where stainless steel is mandated by contamination control protocols, pharmaceutical GMP requirements, or where repeated exposure to IPA, hydrogen peroxide, or other aggressive cleaning solutions would degrade plastic hardware over time. The extendable handle adjusts from 4’ to 6’ to accommodate different operator heights and ceiling/wall cleaning tasks without requiring a separate extension pole. The direct hook-and-loop Velcro attachment accepts TekniMop pocket-style mop heads (TM-PFM-1T) for tool-free mop head changes. Lightweight and ergonomic for extended use. Compatible with most solvents and cleaning solutions used in controlled environments.

Sold individually (1 frame and handle per order).

Frequently Asked Questions

When should I choose the TM-516V-SS (stainless steel) over the TM-516V-1 (polypropylene) mop hardware?

Choose the TM-516V-SS when your cleanroom protocol, facility standard, or regulatory requirement mandates stainless steel hardware — common in pharmaceutical GMP environments, biotech facilities, and ISO Class 4–5 cleanrooms where plastic hardware is not permitted. The 316 stainless steel construction also provides superior durability and corrosion resistance when hardware is repeatedly exposed to aggressive cleaning solutions such as hydrogen peroxide, bleach-based disinfectants, or high-concentration IPA that can degrade polypropylene over time. The TM-516V-1 polypropylene hardware is suitable for less demanding environments where stainless steel is not required.

What mop heads are compatible with the TM-516V-SS?

The TM-516V-SS uses a direct Velcro hook-and-loop attachment that accepts TekniMop pocket-style mop heads, including the TM-PFM-1T foam-microfiber flat mop (5.5 x 15.5 in, 50/case). The pocket-style design allows tool-free mop head changes — slide the used head off and slide a fresh head on without touching the mop surface or contaminating gloves.

Can the TM-516V-SS handle be used for ceiling and wall cleaning?

Yes — the extendable 4’–6’ handle allows the operator to reach floors, walls, and ceilings without a separate extension pole. Extending the handle to 6’ provides sufficient reach for standard 8’–9’ cleanroom ceiling heights when combined with the mop head length. The lightweight stainless steel construction minimizes operator fatigue during extended overhead cleaning tasks.

Is the TM-516V-SS compatible with IPA and other cleanroom disinfectants?

Yes — 316 stainless steel is compatible with IPA, DI water, hydrogen peroxide, quaternary ammonium compounds, and most other solvents and disinfectants used in cleanroom and controlled environment cleaning protocols. Always verify compatibility with your specific cleaning solution concentration and contact time requirements.
