Thermaltronics S60SB005 Bent Sharp 30° Soldering Tip — 0.51mm (0.02")

The Thermaltronics S60SB005 is a 60 Series bent sharp soldering tip engineered for temperature-sensitive soldering applications requiring access to tight, angled areas. The 30° bent profile and fine 0.51mm (0.02") sharp tip geometry allow precise heat delivery to SMD pads, component leads, and confined PCB areas where straight tips cannot reach. Compatible with Thermaltronics SHP-SM handpieces on the TMT-2000S system and Metcal MFR-H6-SSC handpieces on MFR-1160, MFR-1161, and SP200 systems.

Note: 3–4 week lead time. Please plan accordingly for production orders.

Frequently Asked Questions

What systems is the S60SB005 compatible with?
The S60SB005 is compatible with Thermaltronics TMT-2000S-SM systems using the SHP-SM handpiece, and with Metcal SP200, MFR-1160, and MFR-1161 systems using the MFR-H6-SSC handpiece. It is not compatible with other handpiece series.

What does the 60 Series designation mean?
Thermaltronics 60 Series tips are designed specifically for temperature-sensitive soldering applications. The series is engineered to deliver controlled, stable heat transfer suited to delicate components and fine-pitch work where thermal overshoot could cause damage.

Why choose a bent sharp tip over a straight tip?
The 30° bent profile allows the tip to approach component leads and pads at an angle, making it easier to reach areas obstructed by nearby components, connectors, or board features. The sharp geometry provides a small contact area for precise, localized heat delivery.

What is the lead time for the S60SB005?
This tip has a 3–4 week lead time. For production planning, order in advance to avoid scheduling delays.
