Frequently Asked Questions
What does the "/50" mean in the SKU TS1PCI70-99/50?
The "/50" indicates that the wipers are packaged in 50-count flat packs rather than canisters. Flat packs are a popular format for cleanroom workstations where a canister is not preferred — they are easy to store, dispense, and track for inventory purposes, and each pack is sealed to help retain IPA saturation until opened.
How does the 9"x9" format compare to the 7"x11" TekniZorb® wiper?
The 9"x9" square format provides more even coverage across flat surfaces and is preferred for wiping equipment panels, work surfaces, and floors where a square wiper is more ergonomic. The 7"x11" format is better suited for longer, narrower surfaces. Both use the same polyester/cellulose blend and 70% IPA saturation.
Is the TS1PCI70-99/50 suitable for ISO Class 5 cleanrooms?
The TS1PCI70-99/50 is rated for ISO Class 6–8 environments. The cellulose component of the blend generates more particles than all-polyester or microfiber wipers, making it best suited for less critical cleanroom classifications. For ISO Class 4–6 applications, consider the TekniPolyPro™ or MicroZorb™ wiper series.
How does the TekniZorb® flat pack compare to the canister format (TS1PCI70G-99)?
Both contain the same polyester/cellulose nonwoven material presaturated with 70% IPA, but differ in packaging. The canister format (TS1PCI70G-99) uses a resealable canister that helps minimize IPA evaporation between uses — ideal for high-frequency use workstations. The flat pack (TS1PCI70-99/50) is preferred where canisters are impractical or where packs are consumed quickly enough that evaporation is not a concern.
