Teknipure TKS520F Pointed Spiral Foam Dual End Swab, 2.626" (6.67 cm), 2500 swabs/case
Teknipure TKS520F Pointed Spiral Foam Dual End Cleanroom Swab, 2.626 in (6.67 cm), Case of 2,500
The Teknipure TKS520F is a dual-end pointed spiral foam cleanroom swab with a 2.626" (6.67 cm) overall length, constructed from 100 ppi polyurethane foam tips with a 100% polypropylene handle, rated for ISO Class 5–8 environments. The pointed spiral tip geometry provides access to tight spaces, connector cavities, pin fields, and intersecting surfaces where a flat or rectangular tip cannot reach. Both ends are tipped, providing two clean tip surfaces per swab and reducing swab consumption in multi-step cleaning processes. Foam tips are thermally bonded — no adhesives, silicone, or amides — and laundered using Teknipure’s proprietary cleaning system to minimize NVR, ions, and particulate contamination. Lot and bar-coded for traceability. 5-year shelf life stored at ambient conditions (59–86°F / 15–30°C).
Sold in cases of 2,500 swabs (100/inner bag, 5 inner bags/outer bag, 5 outer bags/case).

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the advantage of a pointed spiral tip vs. a flat or rectangular foam tip?
The pointed spiral tip geometry allows the swab to access tight spaces, connector cavities, pin fields, threaded surfaces, and intersecting joints where a flat or rectangular tip cannot make full contact. The spiral shape also provides a scrubbing action as the swab is rotated, improving particle and residue removal from recessed surfaces. Choose the pointed spiral tip (TKS520F) for precision cleaning of complex geometries; choose rectangular tips (TKS526F) for flat surface cleaning and solvent application.
Why is the dual-end design beneficial?
The dual-end design provides two clean tip surfaces per swab. In multi-step cleaning processes — for example, applying a solvent with one end and wiping dry with the other — the dual-end swab reduces swab consumption by half compared to single-end swabs. It also provides a backup tip if the first tip becomes saturated or contaminated during a cleaning task.
Why does Teknipure use thermal bonding instead of adhesives for the foam tip?
Thermal bonding fuses the foam tip to the handle using heat rather than adhesive compounds. This eliminates adhesive residues, silicone, and amide compounds that could leach from the swab tip onto the surface being cleaned — a critical consideration in semiconductor, medical device, and optical applications where surface contamination from swab extractables can cause process failures or product defects.
Is an ESD-safe version of the TKS520F available?
Yes — the TKS503E is the ESD-safe version of the pointed spiral foam dual-end swab in the same 2.626" format, with a carbon-loaded handle for electrostatic discharge protection in ESD-sensitive environments.
