Teknipure TKS510E Medium Head Polyester ESD Swab with Long Handle, 6.417" (16.30 cm), 1000 swabs/case
Teknipure TKS510E Medium Head Polyester ESD Cleanroom Swab with Long Handle, 6.417 in (16.30 cm), Case of 1,000
The Teknipure TKS510E is the ESD-safe version of the medium head polyester long-handle cleanroom swab, with a 6.417" (16.30 cm) overall length, constructed from double-layer 100% polyester knit with a Stat-Rite® electrostatic dissipative (ESD) handle, rated for ISO Class 5–8 environments. This swab combines the two most demanding performance requirements in ESD-sensitive cleanroom environments: the ultra-low particle generation, ultra-low NVR, and aggressive solvent compatibility of double-layer polyester knit, with the permanent inherent ESD dissipation of the Stat-Rite® handle. The Stat-Rite® handle uses inherently dissipative polymers — ESD properties are built into the material, not a surface coating, providing permanent performance that does not degrade with use or solvent exposure. The 6.417" long handle provides maximum reach into deep equipment cavities, process chambers, and tool interiors in ESD-sensitive environments. Thermally bonded — no adhesives, silicone, or amides. Lot and bar-coded for traceability. 5-year shelf life stored at ambient conditions (59–86°F / 15–30°C).
Sold in cases of 1,000 swabs (100/inner bag, 1 inner bag/outer bag, 10 outer bags/case).

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the TKS510E (ESD polyester) and the TKS509E (ESD foam) long-handle swabs?
Both use a Stat-Rite® ESD handle and 6.417" long handle. The difference is the tip material: TKS510E uses double-layer polyester knit — providing ultra-low particle generation, ultra-low NVR, and superior chemical resistance with aggressive solvents, preferred for optical surfaces, lenses, and precision components. TKS509E uses 100 ppi polyurethane foam — providing higher liquid absorbency and better particle-capturing capability for scrubbing tasks. Choose polyester (TKS510E) for optical and precision surface cleaning in ESD environments; choose foam (TKS509E) for high-absorbency and scrubbing tasks in ESD environments.
What is the difference between the TKS510E (ESD) and the TKS554P (standard) polyester long-handle swabs?
Both use the same double-layer polyester knit tip and 6.417" long handle with identical ultra-low NVR and particle specs. The only difference is the handle: TKS554P uses a standard polypropylene handle; TKS510E uses a Stat-Rite® inherently dissipative handle. Use the TKS510E in any environment where ESD-sensitive components are present; use the TKS554P where ESD protection is not required.
Why is polyester preferred over foam for optical surface cleaning in ESD environments?
Polyester knit provides ultra-low particle generation and ultra-low NVR — meaning the swab tip itself contributes minimal contamination to the surface being cleaned. This is critical for optical coatings, sensor surfaces, and precision components where even trace contamination from the swab can cause optical defects or process failures. Foam tips, while more absorbent, generate more particles and have higher NVR than polyester, making them less suitable for the most critical optical cleaning tasks.
Is Stat-Rite® ESD protection permanent?
Yes — Stat-Rite® uses inherently dissipative polymers built into the handle material itself, not applied as a surface coating. This means ESD dissipative performance is permanent and does not degrade with use, cleaning, or exposure to IPA and other solvents used in cleanroom environments.
