Teknipure TKS508E Small Microfiber Woven ESD Swab, 3.583" (9.10 cm), 2500 swabs/case
Teknipure TKS508E Small Microfiber Woven ESD Cleanroom Swab, 3.583 in (9.10 cm), Case of 2,500
The Teknipure TKS508E is the ESD-safe version of the small woven microfiber cleanroom swab, with a 3.583" (9.10 cm) overall length, constructed from double-layer woven polyester/nylon microfiber with a Stat-Rite® electrostatic dissipative (ESD) handle, rated for ISO Class 5–8 environments. This swab combines the split-filament mechanical cleaning performance of woven microfiber — which physically lifts and traps particles, oils, and fingerprints from optical surfaces — with the permanent inherent ESD dissipation of the Stat-Rite® handle. The Stat-Rite® handle uses inherently dissipative polymers built into the material itself, not a surface coating, providing permanent ESD performance that does not degrade with use or solvent exposure. At 3.583", the TKS508E is slightly longer than the standard TKS580MW (2.756"), providing additional reach for precision cleaning tasks in ESD-sensitive environments. Thermally bonded — no adhesives, silicone, or amides. Lot and bar-coded for traceability. 5-year shelf life stored at ambient conditions (59–86°F / 15–30°C).
Sold in cases of 2,500 swabs (100/inner bag, 5 inner bags/outer bag, 5 outer bags/case).

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the TKS508E (ESD microfiber woven) and the TKS580MW (standard microfiber woven)?
Both use the same double-layer woven polyester/nylon microfiber tip construction with identical split-filament cleaning performance and ultra-low NVR specs. The TKS508E adds a Stat-Rite® inherently dissipative ESD handle and is slightly longer (3.583" vs. 2.756"). Use the TKS508E in any environment where ESD-sensitive components are present — semiconductor wafer handling, PCB assembly, disk drive manufacturing, and similar applications. Use the TKS580MW where ESD protection is not required.
Why choose woven microfiber over polyester ESD swabs (TKS510E) for ESD-sensitive optical cleaning?
Both are ESD-safe with Stat-Rite® handles. The woven microfiber tip (TKS508E) uses split filaments that physically lift and trap particles, oils, and fingerprints through mechanical cleaning action — particularly effective for removing oily contamination and fingerprints from optical surfaces where streak-free results are required. The polyester tip (TKS510E) provides ultra-low NVR and superior chemical resistance with aggressive solvents. Choose microfiber woven for optical cleaning and fingerprint removal; choose polyester for applications requiring maximum chemical resistance or the lowest possible NVR.
Is a longer-handle ESD microfiber woven swab available?
Yes — the TKS511E is the ESD-safe microfiber woven medium head swab with a long handle (6.417") for deep-reach cleaning tasks in ESD-sensitive cleanroom environments.
Is Stat-Rite® ESD protection permanent even with IPA exposure?
Yes — Stat-Rite® uses inherently dissipative polymers built into the handle material itself, not applied as a surface coating. ESD dissipative performance is permanent and does not degrade with use, cleaning, or exposure to IPA and other solvents used in cleanroom environments — unlike coated ESD handles that can lose their properties over time.
