Teknipure TKS504E Small Foam ESD Swab, 2.756" (7.00 cm), 2500 swabs/case
Teknipure TKS504E Small Foam ESD Cleanroom Swab, 2.756 in (7.00 cm), Case of 2,500
The Teknipure TKS504E is a small single-end foam ESD cleanroom swab with a 2.756" (7.00 cm) overall length, constructed from 100 ppi polyurethane foam with a Stat-Rite® electrostatic dissipative (ESD) handle, rated for ISO Class 5–8 environments. The Stat-Rite® handle uses inherently dissipative polymers based on polypropylene — ESD properties are built into the material itself, not applied as a surface coating, providing permanent dissipative performance that does not degrade with use or solvent exposure. The small rounded foam tip provides high liquid absorbency and particle-capturing capability for close-proximity precision cleaning in ESD-sensitive environments. Foam tip is thermally bonded — no adhesives, silicone, or amides. Laundered using Teknipure’s proprietary cleaning system to minimize NVR and ions. Lot and bar-coded for traceability. 5-year shelf life stored at ambient conditions (59–86°F / 15–30°C).
Sold in cases of 2,500 swabs (100/inner bag, 5 inner bags/outer bag, 5 outer bags/case).

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the TKS504E and the TKS509E ESD foam swabs?
Both use the same 100 ppi polyurethane foam tip and Stat-Rite® ESD handle. The TKS504E (2.756") is a short compact swab for close-proximity precision cleaning where handle length is not a factor — ideal for PCB component cleaning, connector cleaning, and small component work done at close range. The TKS509E (6.417") has a long handle for maximum reach into deep equipment cavities, process chambers, and tool interiors. Choose the TKS504E for close-proximity work; the TKS509E for deep-reach applications.
What is Stat-Rite® and why is inherent dissipation better than a coated ESD handle?
Stat-Rite® is Teknipure’s proprietary blend of inherently dissipative polymers based on polypropylene. Inherently dissipative means the ESD properties are built into the polymer matrix itself — not applied as a surface coating. Coated ESD handles can lose their dissipative properties as the coating wears off or is degraded by cleaning solvents. Stat-Rite® handles maintain permanent, consistent electrostatic dissipative performance regardless of use or solvent exposure.
When should I use an ESD foam swab (TKS504E) vs. a standard foam swab for small component cleaning?
Use the TKS504E in any environment where ESD-sensitive components are present — semiconductor wafer handling, PCB assembly, disk drive manufacturing, and similar applications where static discharge from a standard swab handle could damage sensitive components. The Stat-Rite® handle safely dissipates static charge that would otherwise build up during swabbing. Use a standard foam swab where ESD protection is not required.
Is an ESD foam swab with a longer handle available?
Yes — the TKS509E is the ESD medium head foam swab with a long handle (6.417") for deep-reach cleaning in ESD-sensitive environments.
