Teknipure TC2PL1-12E TekniClean® ESD Polyester Knit Carbon Fiber Cleanroom Wiper, 12"x12"

The Teknipure TC2PL1-12E TekniClean® is a dry ESD-safe polyester knit cleanroom wiper with integrated carbon fiber filaments and sealed edges, in the 12"x12" format for ISO Class 3–8 environments. Carbon fiber filaments woven into the polyester knit provide continuous static dissipation, making this wiper safe for use in ESD Protected Areas where standard polyester wipers could generate or accumulate static charge. Sealed edges minimize fiber shedding and particle generation. Packaged in ESD Static Shield resealable bags to protect the wipers from static during storage and transport. The 12" format is a versatile mid-size option suited for equipment wipedowns, workstation surfaces, and general cleanroom maintenance in EPAs where the 9" is too small but the 18" is unnecessarily large.

Sold in cases of 500 wipers (50 wipers/bag, 10 bags/case).

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes the TC2PL1-12E ESD safe?

The TC2PL1-12E incorporates carbon fiber filaments woven into the polyester knit construction. Carbon fiber is electrically conductive, providing a continuous path for static charge dissipation across the wiper surface. This prevents the triboelectric charge buildup that occurs when standard polyester wipers are rubbed against surfaces — a critical concern in EPAs where static discharge can damage sensitive electronic components. The ESD Static Shield packaging also protects the wipers from static exposure during storage.

How does the 12" ESD wiper compare to the 9" (TC2PL1-99E) and 18" (TC2PL1-18E)?

All three sizes use the same polyester knit carbon fiber construction and ESD Static Shield packaging. The 9"x9" is best for precision component-level cleaning and smaller surface areas. The 12"x12" is a versatile mid-size for general equipment wipedowns and workstation surfaces. The 18"x18" is preferred for large flat surfaces — walls, floors, large equipment exteriors — where coverage efficiency is the priority. Choose based on the surface area you’re cleaning and the ergonomics of your wiping task.

What is the difference between TekniClean ESD wipers and standard TekniClean polyester knit wipers?

Standard TekniClean® polyester knit wipers (TC2PU series) are insulative and can generate static charge during use — making them unsuitable for ESD-sensitive applications. The TekniClean® ESD series (TC2PL1-E) adds carbon fiber filaments to the knit construction, converting the wiper from insulative to static-dissipative. Both series share the same sealed-edge construction and ISO Class 3–8 cleanroom rating; the ESD version is required whenever the wiper will be used in an EPA or near ESD-sensitive components.

Are these wipers compatible with IPA and cleanroom disinfectants?

Yes. TekniClean® ESD polyester knit wipers are compatible with isopropyl alcohol (IPA), sterile water, hydrogen peroxide, quaternary ammonium disinfectants, and most common cleanroom cleaning solutions. The carbon fiber filaments do not affect chemical compatibility. Always verify compatibility with your specific chemistry before use in critical applications.
