The Teknipure TC3PB1-12 TekniClean® Pro is a dry, non-sterile 100% polyester knit cleanroom wiper with a sealed border in the 12"x12" format, rated for ISO Class 2–7 environments. The TekniClean® Pro line represents Teknipure’s premium single-ply polyester knit construction — the TC3 designation indicates a heavier, higher-performance knit than the standard TC2 series. The sealed border provides a wider perimeter seal than a standard sealed edge, further reducing fiber release at the wiper margins. The 12"x12" format provides greater surface coverage per wipe than the 9"x9", making it preferred for equipment wipedowns, workstation benches, biosafety cabinet interiors, and larger surface areas where efficiency and contamination control are both critical. Available in presaturated formats (TekniClean® Pro Presat) for facilities requiring pre-wetted wipers.

When should I use the TC3PB1-12 (12"x12") vs the TC3PB1-99 (9"x9")?
Both are TekniClean® Pro sealed border wipers with identical construction and ISO Class 2–7 rating. The 12"x12" provides greater surface coverage per wipe, making it more efficient for larger flat surfaces — equipment exteriors, workstation benches, biosafety cabinet interiors, and pass-through chamber walls. The 9"x9" is the standard choice for component-level cleaning and general bench work. Most facilities using the Pro line stock both sizes for different tasks.
What is the difference between TekniClean® Pro (TC3PB1) and standard TekniClean® (TC2PU1)?
The TC3PB1 TekniClean® Pro uses a heavier TC3 polyester knit construction and a sealed border — a wider perimeter seal that covers more of the wiper margin than a standard sealed edge. This results in lower fiber release at the edges and greater overall wiper integrity for the most demanding cleanroom applications. The TC2PU1 standard TekniClean® uses a double-knit interlock construction with an ultrasonic sealed edge — excellent for ISO Class 2–7 environments but a step below the Pro in terms of perimeter sealing. Choose the Pro when your protocol requires the highest level of contamination control.
Is the TC3PB1-12 available in presaturated formats?
Yes. The TekniClean® Pro line is available presaturated in 70% IPA (TS3PBI70S-12 ESD format) for the 12"x12" size. Contact MTE Solutions for availability of additional presaturated formats in the 12"x12" Pro configuration.
What does "sealed border" mean vs. "sealed edge"?
A sealed edge fuses only the very perimeter of the wiper to prevent fiber shedding at the cut line. A sealed border extends the fused zone further inward from the perimeter, creating a wider contamination-free margin around the entire wiper. This wider seal provides additional protection against fiber release during aggressive wiping motions where the wiper edge contacts surfaces at an angle — a key advantage in the most critical ISO Class 2–3 environments.
