Frequently Asked Questions
What does "RTW" stand for and how does this table differ from the C-Leg workstation?
RTW stands for Rectangular Tube Welded — referring to the welded rectangular steel tube frame construction. The 3023 RTW is a simpler, more compact work table compared to the C-Leg workstation series. The RTW frame does not have the open C-Leg profile, making it a more traditional four-leg table design. It is well-suited for general production, inspection, and light assembly tasks where the open-frame modular accessory system of the C-Leg series is not required.
Can the 3023 RTW Work Table be used in an ESD-controlled environment?
The standard 3023 ships with an industrial laminate worksurface. For ESD-controlled environments, an ESD-safe worksurface or ESD mat should be added on top of the standard laminate surface. Contact MTE Solutions for compatible ESD worksurface options and grounding accessories that can be used with the 3023 RTW frame.
How is the height adjusted on the 3023 RTW?
Height is adjusted via the leg adjuster set included with the table, allowing the worksurface to be set between 30" and 36". Refer to the assembly instructions (linked above) for the adjustment procedure. Height is typically set during initial assembly rather than adjusted frequently during use.
What is the difference between the 3023 (24"D) and other RTW table depths?
The 3023 is the 24" deep x 36" wide configuration of the RTW series. Production Basics offers RTW tables in multiple depth and width combinations to fit different workspace footprints and task requirements. A shallower 24" depth is well-suited for inspection stations, monitor workstations, or areas where floor space is limited. Contact MTE Solutions for other RTW size configurations.
