Teknipure TC2PL1-99BK TekniClean® ESD Polyester Knit Carbon Fiber Wiper, Sealed Edge, 9″x9″
Teknipure TC2PL1-99BK TekniClean® ESD Polyester Knit Carbon Fiber Wiper, Laser-Sealed Edge, 9 in x 9 in, Case of 1,500
The Teknipure TC2PL1-99BK TekniClean® ESD is a dry, non-sterile cleanroom wiper engineered from a polyester knit fabric with interwoven carbon fiber filaments, with a laser-sealed edge, in the standard 9"x9" format, rated for ISO Class 3–8 environments. Unlike standard polyester wipers with ESD-safe packaging, the TC2PL1-99BK achieves ESD dissipation through the wiper material itself — the carbon fiber filaments woven into the polyester knit provide inherent electrical conductivity that dissipates electrostatic charge during wiping, preventing charge buildup on the wiper and the surface being cleaned. Packaged in ESD Static Shield resealable bags for additional protection. The black color is characteristic of the carbon fiber construction. Laser-sealed edge for low fiber release. 5-year shelf life.
Sold in cases of 1,500 wipers (150 wipers/pack, 2 inner bags of 75, 10 packs/case).

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the TC2PL1-99BK dissipate ESD differently from a standard wiper in ESD packaging?
Standard wipers in ESD Static Shield bags protect the wipers from charge buildup during storage and dispensing, but the wiper itself is not ESD-dissipative — once removed from the bag, a standard polyester wiper can accumulate and transfer electrostatic charge during use. The TC2PL1-99BK achieves ESD dissipation through the wiper material itself: carbon fiber filaments interwoven into the polyester knit provide inherent electrical conductivity that continuously dissipates charge during wiping, preventing charge buildup on both the wiper and the surface being cleaned. This makes it the correct choice for applications where the wiping action itself must not generate or transfer electrostatic charge.
Why is the TC2PL1-99BK black?
The black color is a natural characteristic of the carbon fiber filaments woven into the polyester knit construction. Carbon fiber is inherently black, and its presence in the wiper fabric gives the TC2PL1-99BK its distinctive appearance. This also makes it easy to visually distinguish from standard white/off-white polyester wipers in ESD-controlled workstations.
What is a laser-sealed edge and how does it differ from an ultrasonic-sealed edge?
Both laser and ultrasonic sealing fuse the wiper edge to prevent fiber shedding, but they use different energy sources — laser sealing uses focused light energy while ultrasonic sealing uses high-frequency sound vibration. Both methods produce a clean, low-fiber edge suitable for critical cleanroom environments. The laser-sealed edge on the TC2PL1-99BK is optimized for the carbon fiber/polyester blend construction.
Is a presaturated version of the ESD carbon fiber wiper available?
