Teknipure TZ1PCS1-18 TekniZorb® Polyester-Cellulose Nonwoven Cleanroom Wiper, 18 in x 18 in, Case of 750

The Teknipure TZ1PCS1-18 TekniZorb® is a dry, white polyester-cellulose (polycell) nonwoven cleanroom wiper in the largest pre-cut format — 18 in x 18 in — rated for ISO Class 5–8 environments. Made from a hydroentangled blend of 55% cellulose and 45% polyester, the 18" wiper delivers maximum surface coverage per wipe, making it the preferred choice for floor cleaning, large equipment wipedowns, gowning room surfaces, and any application where a smaller wiper would require excessive strokes. The polycell construction provides high absorbency for spill control and solvent application, low particle and fiber generation, and excellent chemical compatibility with disinfectants, IPA, and other cleanroom cleaning solutions. Manufactured in ISO-certified facilities with lot traceability for GMP, USP <797>, and USP <800> compliance.

Sold in cases of 750 wipers (75 wipers/bag, 10 bags/case).

Frequently Asked Questions

When should I use the 18" TekniZorb instead of the 9" or 12" sizes?

The 18 in x 18 in format is the largest pre-cut TekniZorb wiper and is best suited for cleaning large flat surfaces where coverage efficiency is the priority — cleanroom floors, large equipment exteriors, gowning room benches and walls, and pass-through chamber surfaces. The larger format reduces the number of wipes needed per area and minimizes the risk of missed spots on large surfaces. For component-level or precision cleaning tasks, the 4", 7", or 9" formats are more appropriate.

What does hydroentangled mean and why does it matter?

Hydroentangling is a manufacturing process that uses high-pressure water jets to mechanically bond the polyester and cellulose fibers together without chemical binders or adhesives. This produces a stronger, more uniform wiper with lower extractables — no binder chemicals that could contaminate cleanroom surfaces or react with cleaning solutions. The result is a wiper with the high absorbency of cellulose and the low-lint properties of polyester, bonded in a way that maintains integrity during aggressive wiping without fiber shedding.

Are these wipers compatible with IPA and disinfectants?

Yes. TekniZorb® polycell nonwoven wipers have excellent chemical compatibility with isopropyl alcohol (IPA), sterile water, hydrogen peroxide, quaternary ammonium disinfectants, and most common cleanroom cleaning and disinfecting solutions. Always verify compatibility with your specific chemistry before use in critical applications.

Is this product lot traceable for GMP documentation?

Yes. TekniZorb® wipers are manufactured in ISO-certified facilities and are lot traceable, supporting GMP documentation requirements for pharmaceutical, medical device, and compounding pharmacy cleanrooms operating under USP <797>, USP <800>, or FDA 21 CFR Part 211 requirements.
