Permabond AA000520075A0101, MH052 Anaerobic Threadsealant, 75ml Accordion Bottle, Case of 10
Permabond AA000520075A0101, MH052 Anaerobic Threadsealant, 75ml Accordion Bottle, Case of 10
Permabond MH052 (part AA000520075A0101) is a yellow, acrylic anaerobic threadsealant for threaded joints. This listing is for a case of ten 75ml accordion bottles, not the 300ml cartridge format. The supplied Permabond technical datasheet lists approvals for natural gas and LPG to 20 bar (290 psi), and gaseous oxygen to 10 bar (145 psi) at up to 60°C (140°F). Check current approvals, fitting materials and local rules before use in regulated systems.
Best uses
- Sealing compatible threaded metal joints in gas, water, oil and hydrocarbon piping within the manufacturer's limits.
- Drinking-water threaded joints where the listed WRAS/KTV-BWGL approval applies.
- Gaseous-oxygen joints only within the specific stated approval limits and current system requirements.
- Maintenance work that calls for smaller 75ml accordion bottles rather than 300ml caulking-gun cartridges.
Key features and approvals
- PFAS-free, with excellent chemical resistance and no loose particles to clog valves, per the supplied TDS.
- DVGW gas approval, WRAS drinking-water approval and KTW-BWGL drinking-water compliance are listed in the supplied TDS.
- Unlike PTFE tape or hemp, MH052 does not shred or dry out, according to Permabond.

These are typical TDS values measured under stated test conditions, not a guarantee for every substrate or joint. Cure speed varies with material, gap, surface condition and temperature.
Application guidance
- Clean bare metal threads and remove oil, grease, paint, old hemp and PTFE tape. Let cleaning solvent evaporate.
- Apply a continuous bead around the male thread, normally 1–2 threads back from the leading edge.
- Assemble tightly without readjusting, then allow full cure before use.
Excess adhesive outside a closed joint remains uncured in air. The TDS cautions against general contact with oxygen, oxygen-rich systems and strong oxidizers outside the specific approved gaseous-oxygen application; do not extrapolate that approval to liquid oxygen or other conditions.
Frequently asked questions
What size is this listing? Ten 75ml accordion bottles per case, part AA000520075A0101.
How does MH052 cure? It cures when confined between suitable metal surfaces without air; exposed excess remains uncured.
When can a joint be used? The TDS lists 15 minutes to handling strength, 1–3 hours to working strength and 24 hours to full strength on M10 steel at 23°C. Allow full cure before service.
What is the maximum thread size? M56 (2 in), with a listed maximum gap fill of 0.5 mm.
Can it be used for gaseous oxygen? The supplied TDS lists approval to 10 bar at up to 60°C. Confirm the current approval and full system requirements before use.
How should it be stored? The TDS lists 5–25°C (41–77°F).
