Permabond AA000520300C0101, MH052 Anaerobic Threadsealant, 300ml, Case of 10
Permabond MH052 (part AA000520300C0101) is a yellow, acrylic anaerobic threadsealant for threaded joints. This listing is for a case of ten 300ml cartridges with one nozzle per cartridge, designed for standard caulking guns. The supplied Permabond technical datasheet lists approvals for natural gas and LPG to 20 bar (290 psi), and gaseous oxygen to 10 bar (145 psi) at up to 60°C (140°F). Check the current approval, fitting material, system design and local rules before using it in regulated service.
Best uses
- Sealing compatible metal threaded joints in gas, water, oil and hydrocarbon piping within the manufacturer's specifications.
- Drinking-water threaded joints where the listed WRAS/KTV-BWGL approval applies.
- Gaseous-oxygen joints only within the specific approved pressure and temperature limits; verify the full current oxygen-service requirements.
- Production or maintenance dispensing that benefits from 300ml cartridges supplied by the case.
Key features and approvals
- PFAS-free, with excellent chemical resistance and no loose particles to clog valves, according to the supplied TDS.
- Gas approval (DVGW); drinking-water approval (WRAS); KTW-BWGL drinking-water compliant, as listed in the supplied TDS.
- Designed to seal threaded joints up to the pipe's burst rating under suitable application conditions.
- Unlike PTFE tape or hemp, the cured seal will not shred or dry out, according to Permabond.

Test-condition note: Cure times and strength values are typical TDS results, not guarantees for every substrate or joint. Material, surface condition, gap and temperature can change cure speed. The TDS says to let the product fully cure before putting the part into use.
Application guidance
- Clean bare metal surfaces and remove oil, grease, paint, hemp or old PTFE tape. Allow any cleaning solvent to evaporate.
- Apply a continuous bead around the male thread, normally 1–2 threads back from the leading edge.
- For tapered or parallel threads, apply where the threads will fully engage; use enough to make a complete seal.
- Assemble tightly without adjustment after assembly, then allow full cure before service.
The TDS says excess sealant outside a closed joint remains uncured in air. It also cautions that this product is not recommended for general contact with oxygen, oxygen-rich systems or strong oxidizers outside the specific approved gaseous-oxygen application. Do not extrapolate the stated gaseous-oxygen approval to liquid oxygen or other conditions.
Frequently asked questions
How does MH052 cure? It cures when confined between suitable metal surfaces without air; the exposed excess remains uncured.
When can an assembled joint be used? Permabond lists 15 minutes to handling strength, 1–3 hours to working strength and 24 hours to full strength on M10 steel at 23°C. Allow full cure before service and adjust for actual conditions.
What pipe sizes can it seal? The supplied TDS lists a maximum thread size of M56 (2 in) and a maximum gap fill of 0.5 mm.
Can it be used in oxygen delivery systems? The supplied TDS lists approval for gaseous oxygen to 10 bar at up to 60°C. Verify the current approval and system requirements; this is not a blanket oxygen compatibility claim.
What comes in this listing? Ten 300ml cartridges per case, each with one nozzle, according to the product record.
How should it be stored? Permabond lists 5–25°C (41–77°F).
