MG Chemicals 9460TC-3ML Thermally Conductive 1-Part Epoxy Adhesive, 3ml Syringe, Case of 5

MG Chemicals 9460TC is a heat-cured, single-component thermally conductive epoxy adhesive designed for bonding heat sinks to LEDs, CPUs, power transistors, and other heat-generating electronic components. As a 1-part system, it requires no mixing, has unlimited working time at room temperature, and does not require frozen storage — simplifying production workflows and eliminating concerns about mix ratios and pot life. The cured adhesive forms a hard, durable, electrically insulating bond with a thermal conductivity of 0.8 W/(m·K). Sold in cases of 5 × 3ml syringes.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between 9460TC and a standard thermal paste or pad?

Unlike thermal paste or phase-change pads, 9460TC is a structural adhesive that permanently bonds components together while also conducting heat. This makes it the right choice when you need both thermal management and mechanical attachment in a single material — for example, bonding a heat sink directly to an LED or power component without additional mechanical fasteners. Thermal paste is not adhesive and requires a separate retention mechanism.

Does 9460TC require mixing before use?

No — 9460TC is a single-component (1-part) system that requires no mixing. Dispense directly from the syringe onto the substrate and apply heat to cure. This eliminates mix ratio errors, reduces waste, and simplifies production line use compared to 2-part epoxy systems.

What cure schedule does 9460TC require?

9460TC is heat-cured and will not cure at room temperature. The recommended cure schedules are 2 hours at 80°C (176°F) or 30 minutes at 120°C (248°F). Working time before cure is unlimited at room temperature, so parts can be assembled and staged before batch oven curing. Refer to the Technical Data Sheet for full cure and post-cure recommendations.

Is 9460TC electrically conductive?

No — 9460TC is thermally conductive but electrically insulating. It will not create electrical shorts between components or traces, making it safe to use directly on PCBs and in contact with conductive surfaces. If you need both thermal and electrical conductivity, MG Chemicals offers silver-filled conductive epoxy products for that application.
