Berkshire SPXMSVP0028, SatPax® MicroSeal VP, Presaturated Cleanroom Wiper, 100% IPA, 9" x 9", Case of 800

The Berkshire SatPax® MicroSeal VP is the premium presaturated wiper in the Berkshire SatPax lineup, designed for critical surface decontamination in the most demanding cleanroom environments. The SPXMSVP0028 is saturated with 100% isopropyl alcohol (IPA) — no DI water dilution — making it appropriate for applications where water residue on the surface is unacceptable, where rapid evaporation is required, or where the process SOP specifies anhydrous IPA. The MicroSeal VP substrate is an ultrasonic-sealed, low-residue nonwoven construction that minimizes particle generation and extractables, rated for ISO Class 3 through ISO Class 8 environments. The ultrasonic-sealed edges eliminate the fiber shedding associated with cut-edge wipers, making the MicroSeal VP appropriate for the most particle-sensitive processes in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, and medical device manufacturing.

MTE Solutions stocks the SPXMSVP0028 in cases of 800 sheets. Each wipe is individually sealed to maintain IPA concentration and prevent evaporation. For the 6% IPA gowning wipe on the same substrate, see the SPXMSVP0068. For 70% IPA presaturated options at lower cost, see the SatPax 1000 and SatPax 1200-R series.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why use 100% IPA instead of 70% IPA for cleanroom wiping?
100% IPA (anhydrous IPA) is specified when water residue on the surface is unacceptable — for example, on moisture-sensitive electronic components, optical surfaces, or processes where water contamination would cause defects. 100% IPA also evaporates faster than 70% IPA, leaving no water residue. Note that 70% IPA is more effective as a broad-spectrum disinfectant against microorganisms; 100% IPA is chosen for its anhydrous properties, not for superior antimicrobial efficacy.

What does ultrasonic-sealed edges mean?
Ultrasonic sealing uses high-frequency sound waves to fuse the wiper edges rather than cutting them. This eliminates loose fibers at the wipe edges that would otherwise shed particles during use. Ultrasonic-sealed wipers generate significantly fewer particles than cut-edge wipers, making them appropriate for ISO Class 3–5 environments where particle budgets are tightly controlled.

What ISO cleanroom class is the SatPax MicroSeal VP rated for?
Rated for ISO Class 3 through ISO Class 8 environments (equivalent to Federal Standard 209E Class 1 through Class 100,000).

How many wipes come in a case?
Each case contains 800 wipes. Each wipe is individually sealed to maintain IPA concentration and prevent evaporation.

What is the difference between SPXMSVP0028 and SPXMSVP0068?
Both use the MicroSeal VP substrate with ultrasonic-sealed edges. The SPXMSVP0028 is saturated with 100% IPA for critical surface decontamination. The SPXMSVP0068 is saturated with 6% IPA / 94% DI water and is designed specifically for gowning area use, where a lower-IPA wipe is appropriate for wiping gloves, garments, and personnel before entering the cleanroom.
