The ACL Staticide 6500 ESD Safety Shield is a water-based anti-static aerosol coating for common plastics, providing a surface resistance of 10⁶–10⁹ ohms for ESD control on plastic parts, bins, shelving, and surfaces. The 6500 aerosol formula is designed for applications on acrylic, PET, PETG, PVC, and polycarbonate — the same chemistry as the ACL 6300 liquid formula but in a convenient aerosol container for easy spot application and touch-up without brushes or applicators. A light spray application is sufficient for excellent electrical performance; coating cures at ambient temperature with no heat required. Humidity independent — maintains ESD performance across a wide range of relative humidity levels, unlike ionic anti-static treatments that lose effectiveness in low-humidity environments. Translucent finish without appearing milky, preserving the appearance of treated surfaces. Intended for indoor use. Electrical performance lasts at least 2 years per ACL Staticide testing.
