ESD Workstation Kit, Single Wire Constant Monitor, MT4500 Series Mat, Two Layer 24 In x 36 In, Single Conn. Wrist Strap and Cord
Protect your sensitive items and comply to ESD standards with our ESD workstation kit.
Work Surface:
The 4500 series ESD control mats from Transforming Technologies are made of a durable 0.080”thick rubber. A conductive layer backs the static dissipative top layer that creates out-standing electrical performance characteristics. The 4500 series offers excellent resistance to hot solders, soldering irons and most solvents. Our cut mats are packaged individually with 10mm snaps and a common point ground cord. Available in
nasa blue, royal blue, green and gray colors in 2’x3’ or 2’x4'.
SpartanTWO Constant Monitor
The constant monitor ensures ESD protection by continuously verifying the ground path of a wrist strap and ESD work surface and alarms if there is a problem. Constant monitors eliminate the need to test wrist straps and reduce ESD damage from broken wrist straps that go unnoticed. The SpartanTWO is compatible with most single wire wrist straps. The compact design fits nicely on the underside of bench tops.
Grounding: Wrist Strap and Hardware
Wrist Strap: The soft, blue woven fabric and curved buckle of the wrist band allows the skin to breathe and makes it very comfortable to wear. The band uses hypoallergenic silver-
plated nylon thread for conductivity and has a maximum resistance of 160 ohms. The coil cord’s 2.5mm polyurethane insulation offers excellent coil memory. A swivel type banana jack increases coil life and prevents cord tangles.
Common Point Ground: Transforming Technologies GK1000 Table Mat Ground Kit offers the hardware required by ANSI/ ESD S-6.1 and ANSI/ESD-S20.20 to ground an ESD table mat.
Applications:
Creates an ESD-Safe workstation for electronics repair, manufacturing, and more. ESD con-
stant monitors reduce production costs by eliminating the time spent on testing wrist
straps. Further savings may be realized by reduced ESD damage from broken wrist straps
and work surface failures.
