Indium 1095-NF Wave Solder Flux FLUXWV-84252-55GL | 55gal
Indium 1095-NF – Water-Soluble Wave Solder Flux | FLUXWV-84252-55GL | 55 Gallon Drum
Indium 1095-NF is a water-soluble wave solder flux with a neutral pH formulation and high activity level, designed for wave soldering through-hole, mixed-technology, and surface mount assemblies. Biodegradable and easy to clean with water to low ionic levels, it leaves a surface with high surface insulation resistance (SIR). Residue can remain on the assembly up to 48 hours without affecting cosmetic appearance, providing process flexibility. Compatible with both SnPb and Pb-free alloys.
Sold individually (1 × 55-gallon drum).

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes 1095-NF a "water-soluble" flux and why does that matter?
Water-soluble fluxes use organic activators that are designed to be removed with deionized water in an inline or batch cleaning system after soldering. Unlike no-clean fluxes, water-soluble flux residues must be cleaned — but when properly cleaned, they leave assemblies with very low ionic contamination levels and high SIR values, making them preferred for high-reliability electronics where residue-free surfaces are required for conformal coating, testing, or long-term reliability.
Can cleaning be delayed after wave soldering with 1095-NF?
Yes. Indium 1095-NF residue can remain on the assembly for up to 48 hours after soldering without affecting the cosmetic appearance of the board. This provides process flexibility for facilities that batch-clean rather than inline-clean. However, cleaning should not be delayed beyond 48 hours, as extended exposure may make residues more difficult to remove and could affect ionic cleanliness results.
Is 1095-NF compatible with lead-free wave soldering processes?
Yes. Indium 1095-NF is compatible with both SnPb (tin-lead) and Pb-free (lead-free) solder alloys, making it suitable for facilities running mixed processes or transitioning to lead-free production. The high activity level ensures reliable wetting on Pb-free alloys, which typically require more aggressive flux chemistry than SnPb processes.
What cleaning equipment is required for 1095-NF?
Indium 1095-NF is designed for water-wash cleaning using inline or batch saponifier/water cleaning systems. Deionized water is recommended for final rinse to achieve low ionic contamination levels. The flux is biodegradable, which simplifies wastewater treatment compared to solvent-based flux systems. Refer to the Technical Data Sheet for specific cleaning parameters and equipment recommendations.
