Teknipure TC2PU3-12S TekniClean® 2-Ply Sterile Polyester Knit Wiper, Sealed Edge, 12 in x 12 in, Case of 500

The Teknipure TC2PU3-12S TekniClean® 2-Ply Sterile is a gamma-irradiated sterile dry cleanroom wiper constructed from two layers of 100% polyester knit with a sealed edge in the 12"x12" format, rated for ISO Class 2–8 environments. The 2-ply construction provides double the absorbency and durability of a single-ply polyester wiper — making it the correct choice for demanding cleaning tasks where a single-ply wiper would saturate quickly, tear under mechanical stress, or require multiple wipes to complete the task. The sterile format (SAL 10⁻⁶ via gamma irradiation per AAMI guidelines) makes it suitable for Grade A/B aseptic processing areas where dry sterile wipers are used with separately dispensed sterile IPA or other validated cleaning agents. The 12"x12" format provides greater surface coverage per wipe for large equipment surfaces and workstation benches. 3-year shelf life from date of manufacture.

Sold in cases of 500 wipers (25 wipers/bag, 20 bags/case).

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the advantage of 2-ply construction vs. single-ply for sterile cleanroom wiping?

The 2-ply construction bonds two layers of polyester knit together, providing double the absorbency and significantly greater mechanical durability compared to a single-ply wiper. This matters in sterile environments where you need to complete a cleaning task with fewer wipes (reducing the number of sterile pouches opened and the associated handling steps), where the cleaning task involves aggressive wiping that would cause a single-ply to tear, or where the surface requires a high volume of solvent absorption per wipe. The 2-ply also maintains its structural integrity better when saturated with IPA or other cleaning agents.

When would I choose a dry sterile wiper (TC2PU3-12S) vs. a sterile presaturated wiper (TS2PUI70P-12S)?

Choose the dry sterile wiper when your validated protocol specifies a particular IPA concentration or cleaning agent that is not available in a presaturated format, when you need to control the exact amount of solvent applied per wipe, or when your SOP requires separate sterile IPA dispensing as a distinct process step. Choose the sterile presaturated wiper (TS2PUI70P-12S) when your protocol specifies 70/30 IPA and you want to reduce handling steps by eliminating the need for a separate sterile IPA source at the workstation.

Is the TC2PU3-12S available in a 9"x9" size?

Contact MTE Solutions for availability of the TC2PU3 2-ply sterile wiper in the 9"x9" format and other sizes.

Is a non-sterile version of the 2-ply polyester wiper available?

Yes — the TC2PU3-12 is the non-sterile dry version of the 2-ply polyester knit wiper in the 12"x12" format for ISO Class 5–8 environments where sterility is not required. Contact MTE Solutions for availability.
