Teknipure Cleanroom Wipes – ISO Certified, Cost-Effective, and In Stock at MTE Solutions

Teknipure MicroClean Microfiber Wiper

Teknipure is a leading manufacturer of ISO-certified cleanroom wipes, swabs, and contamination control supplies trusted by life sciences, semiconductor, medical device, aerospace, and electronics manufacturing facilities. Their product line spans sterile and non-sterile polyester wipers, nonwoven wipers, presaturated IPA wipes, microfiber wipers, and precision cleaning swabs — all engineered for low particle generation, consistent absorbency, and compliance with ISO 14644 cleanroom standards. Teknipure is widely recognized as a cost-effective, performance-equivalent alternative to Texwipe, with comparable quality and often better pricing. MTE Solutions carries the full Teknipure line in U.S. inventory for fast shipping. Frequently Asked Questions

Can I substitute Teknipure wipes for Texwipe in my validated cleanroom process?
In most cases, yes — but substitution in a validated process requires a formal change control and validation activity. If your SOP or process validation specifies Texwipe by name, you must qualify Teknipure as an equivalent alternative before substituting. This typically involves testing the Teknipure wipe against your critical quality attributes (particle generation, absorbency, extractables, compatibility with your cleaning solvent) and documenting the equivalency. For non-validated processes or new process development, Teknipure can be selected directly without a change control. Contact MTE Solutions for technical data sheets and lot certificates to support your qualification.

What is the difference between sterile and non-sterile cleanroom wipes?
Sterile wipes are gamma irradiated after manufacturing to achieve a sterility assurance level (SAL) of 10⁻⁶, meaning the probability of a viable microorganism on any single wipe is less than one in a million. They are double-bagged for transfer into cleanrooms without introducing contamination from the outer packaging. Sterile wipes are required for ISO Class 3–5 environments, pharmaceutical compounding cleanrooms (USP <797>/<800>), and any application where microbial contamination of the product or surface is a critical quality attribute. Non-sterile wipes are appropriate for ISO Class 6–8 environments and general cleanroom surface cleaning where microbial control is not a critical requirement.

Why use presaturated IPA wipes instead of dry wipes with a solvent dispenser?
Presaturated wipes deliver a consistent, controlled amount of IPA with every wipe — eliminating the variability of manual solvent dispensing (over-saturation, under-saturation, solvent evaporation before use). This consistency is important for validated cleaning processes where the amount of solvent applied must be controlled. Presaturated wipes also reduce solvent waste, eliminate the need for solvent dispensing equipment at the workstation, and reduce the risk of solvent spills. For high-frequency surface disinfection in pharmaceutical and medical device cleanrooms, presaturated wipes are the preferred format.

How do I choose between a polyester swab and a foam swab for precision cleaning?
Polyester swabs have a woven polyester tip that provides good solvent absorption and mechanical scrubbing action — suitable for cleaning solder joints, flux residue, connector contacts, and surfaces where some abrasion is acceptable. Foam swabs have a softer, non-abrasive tip better suited for delicate optical surfaces, lenses, and sensitive coatings where scratching must be avoided. Both Teknipure polyester and foam swabs are low-linting and ESD-safe. Choose based on the surface sensitivity and the cleaning action required for your specific application.
